I love a good romper. To me, nothing evokes summer like a flowy white romper. Since I now live in the land of perpetual summer, (looking at you Arizona), rompers have become a large part of my wardrobe.
I picked up this Bebe romper at Nordstrom Rack this fall. I have always loved Bebe and raced to my closest store when I found out they were closing all of their US locations. Thankfully, I’ve now discovered they are selling their line within Nordstrom.
Bebe always fits me consistently. Like Express, I always know what size I’m going to be and it always fits me to a T.
Okay, I’ll talk about the actual romper now. This one has a scort effect. In other words, it has a drape of fabric across the front that makes it look like a skirt, but really it’s a short. I haven’t worn a scort since 4th grade, and normally I’d consider it a fashion ‘don’t.’ But since it’s a romper and the drape is beautifully pleated, I’d give this one a pass.
The top is flattering for all body types because of the wrap-across style. The bell sleeves are on trend and carry this piece into multiple seasons (depending on if you live in perpetual summer or not.)
I paired my Bebe romper with a white Ked since I was going back and forth between classes all day. I could have chosen to dress it up with a colored or metallic pump. I would also pair it with a watch and delicate necklace.
TBH, this piece reminds me of one I wore at the National Sweetheart Pageant in 2015.
But that romper is definitely only a summer romper. It’s backless and made of incredibly light material.
At the time, I paired it with a nude shoe, but now I would pick a much more unique, colorful shoe. Possibly even a chunky statement or chain necklace. Live and learn!
Live brightly, dress sharply, and always be #AcutelyYou.
