FEBRUARY 2018 | My Favorite Things
I can't believe that it is already the end of February. You know what that means - a review of my favorite things of the month!
BEAUTY: I've been dying to get a curling wand for months. Finally, I stumbled across this PYT Curling Wand Set for sale on the Hautelook app. Not only does it come with interchangeable barrels in different sizes, but it curls my hair well without burning it to a crisp. Now, I can finally achieve the loose curls that are so in right now!
HEALTH: As a pale Norwegian-American redhead, I've been on the search for a daily facial sunscreen that's lightweight and doesn't affect my makeup. I finally found it in the Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer with SPF 50. I use it every morning after I wash my face, but before I apply my make-up. Healthy skin is in.
SELF-CARE: I've been trying to get more sleep lately. If you have an iPhone, check out the Bedtime App (connected to your alarm clock app.) It will help you keep your sleep schedule consistent so that you can have the energy to reach all your #goals!
FASHION: Every time I go to Express, I find something I love. I found this beautiful cranberry sweater dress at the Express Outlet. Unfortunately, I don't see it on their website, but you can find their available long-sleeve dresses here. I can always count on Express to fit me well!
SOCIAL MEDIA: Lauren Conrad inspires me with her sense of fashion and home decor. Visit her website or her Instagram page.
NETFLIX: I needed something to fill the gap left by finishing The Office. I found my perfect gap-filler in Parks and Rec! Like The Office, but updated!
BOOK: My aunt released her book, Tell: Love, Defiance, and the Military Trial at the Tipping Point for Gay Rights this year! Basically, it's the true story about her legal victory over Don't Ask, Don't Tell. (Plus, her love story with her now-wife Laurie.) If you like love stories, legal thrillers, and history, you don't want to miss this.
FAVORITE OF THE THINGS – At home, you can't catch me without my ridiculous slippers. These aren't in stock anymore, but Target always has a great selection of affordable slippers.
What was your favorite thing this month? What should I check out in March? Let me know in the comments!
